We at Sassicat Aviary strive to find the best homes possible for the babies that we raise. We give lots of love and attention to them and feel they deserve the best for their permanent parents. For this reason, we like to have a dialog with potential parents. This species of birds are not the most simple to handle. For this reason we want potential parents to be well aware of what they are getting into before they take one of our babies home. These birds are also long lived, so we want to know that you will be committed for the life of the bird. We feel that birds are a part of the family and as such, they are not a comodity that can just be given away when a person tires of their care and responsibility. We will ask you about your previous experience with parrots, what your 'parenting philosopy or style' is. And we will talk with you about the ups and downs of owning a parrot. This decision should not be rushed into and everyone in the home should be away of what is involved in living with a parrot.

 

 

This cart was designed to not allow the sale of products we do not have. It keeps track of our inventory levels and will not allow a shopper to request more than what we have in stock.

 

 

We have several items that customers like to buy a little of each item for their birds. We used to offer discounts if you purchased 5 or 15 of any one item. With the discount groups we can now allow you to Mix and Match any of the items within the group to get the quantity based discount. So if you want only 3 of product A and 1 of Product B and 1 of Product C, you will get the discount because all total you have chosen 5 items within that discount group.

 

 

No you do not.  During check out you will be asked to login if you already are a member or to register.  If you do not want to become a member, choose the button to register, but in the box that says Membership, make sure Not a Member is selected.  Then do not enter a username or password.  The info on the registration screen is just simply name and address so that we can mail you your order, if you choose not a Member, you will not be contacted by us, your order history will not be saved and you will not be able to create a wishlist.

 

 

Regular member is for any customer that wants their order history saved to view at a later date.  You will also be able to create a wish list so that you can remember what you wanted at a later date.  Membership will also make it possible for us to notify you of specials that we may run from time to time.

 

AAN Membership is for customers that have already signed up for membership in the Avian Advantage Network During registration on this site, you choose the AAN membership in the "Sign up for membership" box". Being an AAN member allows you to recieve a 10% discount at check out on all products in our store.  When you first register, your discount will not be valid until an administrator approves your membership.

Not A Member - this is for those that do not want to have their order history saved, do not want to be notified of any specials on our site, and do not want to have a wishlist.  If you choose this level, you will not receive any emails from us accept ones that are directly linked to a current purchase.
